Creating sustainable communities of housing in the places where people want to live and work, now and in the future.
We agree with the minister?s statement ? the cost to the country of poor quality or simply a shortage of appropriate housing is enormous. Yet at the same time we believe that to look at housing in isolation is a mistake. Physical regeneration by itself will not guarantee that the sustainable developments which this country needs are created, communities which will thrive and grow. That is why at TEAM we have chosen a holistic route to follow:
Physical regeneration To transform the existing built environment of previously neglected or even stigmatized areas into places with a wide variety of tenures where people want to live.
Economic regeneration To identify under utilised assets ? be they physical, human or financial, and use these to build better communities. ? without any government grants.
Social Regeneration TEAM will provide assistance to new and existing businesses to kick start the local economy and lead to more self sufficient, better integrated and genuinely sustainable communities.
